Fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft~
I'm almost dead now. I worked the entire day on this Wallpaper, redid the whole thing halfway through and am really glad to have it finished now.
Glow Whooves is for 's theme this week (week 35): imitation.
I imitated 's Glow Wallpapers. Now, why did I do this?
1. I really like them.
2. I really like Smocky.
3. His Glow Rainbow Dash [link] was one of my first pony pics I saved on my harddrive at all, a while before I knew him. I didn't even knew that it was his the first month or so after I got frinds with him.
Why did I decided to make a Whooves Wallpaper? That's easy: I'm a Doctor Who fan, and Whooves has been the reason for me to start watching MLP:FIM.
You could say in this picture two important things about my MLP history meet each other.
That's it about the picture's background for the moment.
Well, what did I do here? At first I tried to get the same results in PaintSAI like Smock got in PS. I drew Whooves lineart, painted the background black etc. Soon I discovered that it's simply impossible.
I asked Smock, and he gave me a really nice tutorial for glow effects in PS [link] It really helped me a lot, try it out if you want to.
After a short time learning PS CS5 again and using what I learned in the tutorial the pic was finished, and the result looked just gross. Why?
The reason was simple: I drew the lineart with the AirBrush tool in SAI, it was all messy and looked, well, not very well. So I started to use the Pen tool to bring vectors in there. After an hour or so of big confusion I understood how to use it, and since then I've been busy redoing the whole image.
And now, finally, it's done! I'm really glad that I did it in such a short time, learned a bit more about PS and finally hit the deadline in the Alumni group. And I am proud of myself that the creator of this picture is me.
What did I use? PaintSAI, PhotoShop CS5 and my sweet little tablet.
In SAI: AirBrush, Bucket and Eraser
In PS: Pen, many fancy Blending Options and filters, Eraser, Bucket and Idon'tknowwhatelse. Just look into that tutorial I mentioned above, basically that.
I hope you like it as much as I do, dear visitor!
My little Pony © HASBRO and , maybe a bit BBC as well. Do they own the rights for the Sonic Screwdriver?
Edit~ Oh, yeah, for those of you who wonder about the lines on the left: I wanted to make it look like the progression of time. See [link] to learn more about it from the Doctor himself. Really. Spend these 15 seconds of your life and check it out.

I absolutely LOVE this!
May I use this as a wallpaper on MiLittleBrony.webs.com? It's a Michigan-based Brony meetup site. ^_^
